Innovation and Fintech Specialist

About the role

The Central Bank of Oman seeks an enthusiastic Omani professional to drive innovation and support fintech initiatives within the financial ecosystem. This role focuses on implementing strategic projects, coordinating with internal teams, and engaging external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the National Fintech strategy and related innovation initiatives.
• Assist research, pilot projects, and development of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) initiatives.
• Help establish innovation programs such as the National Fintech Hackathon and fintech innovation hubs.
• Participate in the Fintech Regulatory Sandbox process, including application assessment, mentorship, and KPI tracking.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of digital or technical sandbox platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, IT, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• Financial Technology Professional Diploma or equivalent certification.
• 2–5 years of experience in fintech, digital financial services, banking, payments or related technology fields.
• Experience working within a regulatory or policy environment.
