About the role
The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to safety and excellent communication with guests and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
- Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
- Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
- Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact EMS as needed.
- Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and handle emergency situations.
- Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
- Support guests with disabilities and ensure a welcoming environment.
Required profile
- Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
- Clear, professional communication skills.
- Commitment to follow company policies, safety training, and confidentiality standards.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required by security needs.
