Product Owner – Central Securities Depository Platform

About the role

We are establishing a greenfield central securities depository (CSD) in Oman, slated to launch in 2027. As the Product Owner, you will own the end‑to‑end product vision, commercial proposition, fee schedule, rulebook, participant documentation, and operating model for the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap and commercial proposition for each participant category.
• Design, benchmark, and continuously update the fee schedule against international comparators.
• Translate product vision into detailed functional requirements for settlement, registry, asset servicing, corporate actions, repo, primary issuance, and participant interfaces.
• Approve vendor functional design documents and own the functional specification.
• Develop, version‑control, and approve the rulebook and all participant‑facing documentation.
• Design the operating model, including cut‑off times, settlement windows, calendars, and exception handling.
• Represent the company in regulatory, issuer, custodian, and international counterpart engagements.
• Line‑manage functional Business Analysts and collaborate closely with the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in central securities depository, custody, post‑trade, or capital‑markets infrastructure.
• Proven track record as the functional and product authority on a CSD or comparable financial market infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience leading the functional design of large‑scale post‑trade platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with regulators, issuers, custodians, and primary dealers.
