Quality Control Inspector – Welding & Painting (Oman)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Quality Control Inspector to oversee welding, painting and coating activities on our projects in Oman. The role ensures that all work complies with project specifications, international standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual and technical inspections of welding, painting and coating processes.
• Verify compliance with approved quality procedures, inspection plans and relevant codes.
• Review welding procedures, inspection reports and related documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, QA/QC and client inspection teams to resolve quality issues.
• Monitor inspection activities, maintain accurate records and support audits.
• Ensure adherence to HSE regulations and timely closure of quality observations.

Required profile

• 7–8 years of QA/QC inspection experience.
• Minimum 4 years of GCC experience after obtaining welding and painting certifications.
• Strong knowledge of welding and painting/coating inspection procedures.
• Good understanding of international codes and standards for oil & gas/EPC projects.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Required skills

• CSWIP 3.1 certification.
• BGAS 2.0 certification.
• Welding inspection techniques.
• Painting/coating inspection techniques.
• Quality control documentation and procedures.
• Familiarity with international oil & gas standards (e.g., API, ISO).
