Roads Project Manager – UAE

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Roads Project Manager to lead large‑scale road and highway construction projects across the United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while coordinating all parties involved.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan, schedule, and resource allocation.
• Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities, ensuring compliance with designs, specifications, and regulations.
• Monitor milestones, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Control project budget, review contractor payment applications, and enforce cost‑control measures.
• Administer contracts, process variations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
• Prepare regular progress reports, forecasts, and performance updates for senior management.
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, consultants, utility authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead progress meetings, manage stakeholder and community relations, and resolve construction‑related issues.
• Ensure compliance with quality, inspection, testing plans, and HSE requirements through site audits.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, identify capacity gaps, and support professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in road and highway construction, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager role.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale road infrastructure projects.
• Experience in the UAE or GCC region is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Project.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent project‑management software.
