Service Technician – Excavator Repair & Assembly

About the role

The Service Technician will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and corrective repairs on excavators in line with SANY schedules and OEM procedures. The role involves diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults, and supporting customers through breakdowns and warranty repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned preventive maintenance, periodic inspections and corrective repairs on excavators.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic and control‑system faults using service manuals, wiring diagrams and diagnostic tools.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, final drives, hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders and related components.
• Perform component removal, overhaul, calibration and functional testing while protecting equipment from contamination.
• Carry out machine commissioning, pre‑delivery inspections, initial start‑up and customer hand‑over support.
• Attend emergency call‑outs, identify root causes, restore equipment safely and recommend permanent corrective actions.
• Execute warranty and campaign repairs following approved procedures and documentation.
• Prepare accurate service reports documenting faults, work performed, parts used and recommendations.

Required profile

• Diploma/ITI/Technical Certificate/Associate degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Heavy Vehicle, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience servicing heavy construction, mining or material‑handling equipment.
• Valid UAE driving licence (required for field assignments).
• OEM training or certification in heavy equipment service is strongly preferred.
