Unit Head – Transaction Banking

About the role

The Unit Head – Transaction Banking will lead the strategy, growth and delivery of cash management, payments and trade finance services for corporate and institutional clients. This senior position is responsible for driving revenue, enhancing client experience and ensuring regulatory compliance while championing innovative, technology‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Transaction Banking strategy aligned with overall corporate banking objectives.
• Identify market opportunities, monitor industry trends and shape competitive positioning.
• Develop business plans to increase product penetration and market share.
• Drive revenue through pricing, product optimisation and cross‑selling initiatives.
• Monitor profitability and optimise cost‑to‑income ratios of transaction banking products.
• Oversee product lifecycle management for cash management, payments and trade finance.
• Lead digital transformation, automation and straight‑through processing initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with key corporate and institutional clients.
• Support sales teams in acquiring new clients and expanding existing portfolios.

Required profile

• Omani national.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of banking experience, including at least 5 years in Transaction Banking or Corporate Banking.
