Accountant - Month-End Reporting and Budgeting

About the role

Thrifty Rent A Car, part of Al-Futtaim Financial Services, is looking for an Accountant. The role covers month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and intercompany processes, aiming to keep financial data accurate and aligned with organisational goals. It calls for proactive financial analysis, close collaboration with other departments and a strong commitment to financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly flash and IFRP reports with variance analysis and key performance insights.
• Ensure accurate month-end closing, with all reconciliations and accruals completed.
• Oversee approvals, ICM settlements and cost control activities.
• Manage daily bank, cash and receipt reconciliations to control funds.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and drive efficiency through automation.
• Arrange and handle insurance coverage and claims, and verify insurance data accurately and process claims promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• Preferably holds a CMA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent certificate.
• 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Achievement orientation, analytical thinking, business understanding and organisation awareness.
