Finance Supervisor

About the role

The Finance Supervisor oversees daily accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely payments, effective cash-flow management and compliance with Omani tax laws and financial regulations. The role covers accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, VAT and corporate tax compliance, and supervising the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, payment schedules and petty cash.
• Review supplier invoices, payment requests, expense claims and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and budget variance analysis.
• Monitor inventory accounting, stock valuation and cost control for retail branches.
• Ensure compliance with Oman VAT requirements, corporate tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, suppliers and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and internal controls.
• Guide the finance team, identify financial risks and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Experience in retail, perfume, FMCG or multi-branch operations is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, taxation and financial controls in Oman.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
