Application Support Engineer - TCS BaNCS Insurance

About the role

TCS BaNCS Insurance is hiring an Application Support Engineer in Muscat, Oman, to provide first-level technical and functional support for its core insurance applications. The role covers supporting users, resolving incidents, troubleshooting application issues and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly across Life, Medical, Motor and General Insurance modules. Only candidates with TCS BaNCS Insurance experience will be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1 application support for TCS BaNCS users across Life, Medical, Motor and General Insurance modules.
• Monitor incidents and service requests through ticketing tools and ensure SLA adherence.
• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues and escalate them in time.
• Execute SQL/PLSQL queries for data validation, analysis and issue resolution.
• Generate and validate daily transaction, reconciliation and exception reports.
• Support UAT testing, production releases and post-deployment validations.
• Coordinate with business users, infrastructure teams and vendors on issues.
• Monitor application performance, logs and alerts.
• Assist in user training and give functional guidance to business teams.
• Maintain application documentation, FAQs and knowledge base articles.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in TCS BaNCS Insurance application support.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred: current application support engineers, production support analysts, TCS BaNCS support professionals or insurance technology support specialists.
