RegTech & SupTech Specialist

About the role

The Central Bank of Oman is looking for an Omani RegTech & SupTech Specialist to drive the bank’s technology‑enabled regulatory and supervisory initiatives. The role focuses on research, strategic planning, and implementation of innovative solutions such as AI and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, study and assess RegTech and SupTech trends, technologies and innovations, including market research and benchmarking of international and regional practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments (Regulation, Supervision, IT, Data, Analytics & Intelligence) to define technology‑driven opportunities and develop implementation requirements.
• Support the development and execution of RegTech and SupTech strategies, roadmaps, proof‑of‑concepts, pilots and vendor assessments.
• Monitor industry developments, recommend emerging technologies, and engage with regulated entities, fintech firms and international bodies.
• Assist in defining policies, governance, documentation and KPI tracking for RegTech and SupTech initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in RegTech, SupTech, digital transformation, data analytics or related technology‑enabled projects.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, compliance processes and supervisory operations.

Required skills

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts and applications.
• Data analytics and business intelligence techniques.
• Experience working with technology vendors and cross‑functional project teams.
