Functional Consultant - Cybersecurity

About the role

A Functional Consultant - Cybersecurity is sought to act as a Resident Engineer for a prestigious customer, deploying and managing a cybersecurity awareness platform. The role involves understanding the customer's business needs and technical requirements, showing how the solutions address them, and building strong technical relationships. It acts as a trusted advisor between the technical capabilities of the offering and the business value delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and turn them into functional solutions, working closely with technical teams on implementation.
• Manage Security Awareness and Simulation Platforms: configure awareness campaigns, phishing simulations, user groups, reporting dashboards and automation workflows; monitor performance, participation and campaign effectiveness; manage vendors and support upgrades and enhancements; integrate with enterprise systems where applicable.
• Create and analyse awareness dashboards and executive reports, and analyse campaign results, engagement, training completion and phishing simulation performance.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, share updates and answer routine queries.
• Take part in testing, help log issues, gather user feedback and provide post-implementation support.
• Assist in user training and provide basic post-training support.
• Support knowledge transfer to client teams and collaborate with developers and technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a relevant discipline.
• 3-4 years of experience in security engineering and functional/technical consulting roles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Customer-focused, able to work independently and in a team.
